Studies and skills
Loris Di Leo, born in Empoli (FI) on April 21, 1976, began studying the piano at a very young age at the Academy "Muzio Clementi" of Vinci (FI). He later entered the "Luigi Cherubini" Conservatory of Florence, studying under the guidance of Gabriella Barsotti. After her retirement, he studied his last year with maestro Stefano Fiuzzi, graduating in 2001.

From an early age, he demonstrated his musical skills that in turn earned him the possibility to participate in the Festival for Young
Musicians held in 1989, in Strasbourg and in 1992, in Eindhoven (Holland).

Following his studies, he devoted himself intensively to chamber music, playing in various formations from duo to sextet, obtaining awards including: the Diploma of Finalist at the International Competition of "Interpretation Schubertiana" (October 1998); first place at the International Competition of Casarza Ligure (GE) (June 2000).
Since 2010, he has also been playing the bass trombone and the sousaphone and was a member of the Fantomatik Orchestra, a funky, soul and rhythm 'n' blues project, with ethno, pop and dance influences, with which he has recorded 5 CD’s and has performed over 500 concerts throughout Italy and abroad. www.fantomatik.com
He is also a student of Walter Savelli, the historical keyboard player of Claudio Baglioni, who for many years has dedicated himself to pop keyboards and the arrangement of music for recording studios and live concerts.

He collaborated with the Studio Emme Recording in Calenzano (FI) in a work about legality, in collaboration with the association against lawlessness and the mafia "Antonino Caponnetto" of Florence.
He followed a series of seminars on the Alexander technique in Florence, in particular applied to piano posture.
Working activity
Since 2001, he has been working as a pianist for professional and specialised courses at the Music School of Fiesole (FI) in classes conducted by horn player, Guido Corti, tubist, Roger Bobo, oboists, Thomas Indermhüle and Paolo Grazia and flautist Giampaolo Pretto.
In November 2001, he played, as a piano accompanist in a masterclass held by the violinist Tatiana Liberova, assistant to the Russian violinist Vernikov. He has been the official accompanist in the "Città di Porcia" International Competition for brass since 2001.

He has collaborated in various masterclasses conducted by oboist Paolo Pollastri, (first oboe of the S. Cecilia orchestra in Rome).
In the years 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004, he was an accompanist at summer courses organized by the association "Artemista" in Barberino Val d'Elsa (FI), where he collaborated with Paolo Pollastri from the S. Cecilia Orchestra of Rome, Alda Dalle Lucche and Riccardo Crocilla from the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Fabio Fabbrizzi, Marco Ortolani, Umberto Codecà, Paolo Faggi, Donato De Sena from the Regional Orchestra of Tuscany.
In the last 4 years he has also been accompanying both youth and professional choirs, sometimes also taking over as director. Every year he is called by Feniarco (Italian National Federation of Regional Choral Associations), to be the pianist of the European Academy for Choral Conductors.
In 2013, he performed alongside Nicole Corti, conductor of the orchestra and choir at the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon. In that same year he gave lessons on small secrets and ways of dealing with sight reading at the Guido d'Arezzo Foundation.
Since 2013, he has actively collaborated as a pianist with the theatrical association "Venti Lucenti" of Florence, with whom he realised the shows "The Fable of Don Carlo" by Giuseppe Verdi and "Il Magico Elisir", a reduction of the famous "Elisir d'amore" by Donizetti at the Teatro Goldoni and at the Teatro Comunale of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence.
In the summer of 2013, he participated in the preparation of Verdi "Requiem" in Tirana under the conductors Alvaro Losano and Aldo Ceccato.
He is the official pianist during “Italian Brass Week” playing alongside the best instrumentalists of the sector such as: Luca Benucci, Rex Richardson, Andrea dell'Ira, Davide Simoncini, Andrea Tofanelli, Hermann Baumann, Vincenzo Paratore, Daniele Morandini, Ian Bousfield, Alessandro Fossi , Øystein Baadsvik, Sarah Willis, Dale Clevenger, Stefan de Leval Jezierski and Tuba legend Roger Bobo.
Since 2014, he has been the official pianist of the course "Inside the Sound", held by the flautist Giampaolo Pretto and his collaborators Nicola Campitelli, Jessica Dalsant, Fabio Pupillo, Nicola Bighetti and Elisa Romeo.
He collaborated in the musical "Candide" by Bernstein at the new Teatro dell'Opera in Florence and the works "Cenerentola" by Rossini, "La traviata" by Verdi, "L'Elisir d'Amore" by Donizetti, "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" by Rossini and "Idomeneo" by Mozart.
In 2018, he also collaborated in Hindemith’s "Cardillac" under the conductor Maestro Fabio Luisi, and in "Il Prigioniero" by DallaPiccola and Symphony No. 7 by Shostakovich under the direction of Maestro James Conlon.
He also collaborates with the Teatro della Fenice for their Flute contest.

Concert activity
In November 1999, he played with the French trombonist Jacques Mauger in a concert at the end of a master class held by him at the "Luigi Cherubini" Conservatory of Florence. In April 2001, he took part in a tour in Morocco, performing an opera recital in the cities of Casablanca, Rabat and
Essaouira. He has performed in several concerts in duo with Giampaolo Pretto, the first flute of the Rai Symphony Orchestra: in January 2003, at the State Conservatory "Luca Marenzio" of Brescia; in March 2003, in Brescia, in the San Barnaba hall; in November 2003 at the 7th Italian Flute Festival (Flautissimo) at the Parco della Musica in Rome and at the 6th Flötenfest at the Konzerthaus in Vienna.
In 2003 and 2004, he took part, as a piano accompanist, at the 4th and 5th International Festival of "Santa Fiora in musica" where he held a concert with the French saxophonist Fabrice Moretti (soloist of the Radio France Philarmonic Orchestra).
In January 2004, he performed at the National Library of Florence for the screening of the silent film by René Clair "Entr'acte", with original music by Erik Satie in a piano reduction for 4 hands. In
May 2004, he performed a concert at the British Institute in Florence with the American tubist, Daniel Burdick.
In June 2004, he began recording a CD with Maestro Paolo Pollastri. Also in June 2004 he held a concert at the Teatro del Sale in Florence with Ariane Araújo Paixão, first flute of the "Claudio Santoro" National Theater Orchestra and a teacher at the Brasilia Music School.
In April 2005, he collaborated, as a piano accompanist, with "La scatola sonora" of Rome as well as editor of the specialized magazine "I fiati"; he frequently collaborates with the flautist Michele Marasco.
In December 2005, he was the accompanist for the auditions of the EUYO (European Youth Orchestra) held at the RAI in Rome. Lately, he has collaborated with the French saxophonist, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, one of the greatest exponents of the French saxophone in the world, in his master
classes.

Excellent sight reading and great ability as an instrumental and vocal accompanist thanks to his extensive experience.
Complete and versatile musician, thanks to his experience in heterogeneous musical fields (jazz, pop, brass band, classical, theatrical shows) and a performer of different instruments.
